About the Toyota Bluegrass Miracle League

Founded in 2006, the Toyota Bluegrass Miracle League is the result of the hard work and dedication from a legion of community leaders and volunteers who wanted to create a “league of their own” for kids with disabilities. Inspired by similar programs around the country, the Lexington Rotary Club, among others, spearheaded the efforts to raise the funds and build the specially designed field and facilities.

Each Saturday during the spring and fall, children ages 5-19 participate in baseball at its finest and where everyone is a winner.

The league has evolved to include adults who play on Tuesdays during the spring and fall as well.

Because of the uniqueness of the program, players travel from all over the state to be a part of this special league.

Today, each league serves hundreds of athletes, not only providing them an outlet for their athletic endeavors, but opportunities for camaraderie, sportsmanship and friendship as well. It also provides wonderful volunteer opportunities for people who wish to coach or be “buddies” to the athletes each game day.

The day-to-day operations of the League are managed by the YMCA of Central Kentucky, in partnership with the board of directors at the TBML. The Y, a leader in youth sports, provides coordination of services, including registration, game assignments, team coordination, volunteer coordination, and more.

How to Register

The Toyota Bluegrass Miracle League welcomes athletes with special needs to participate—regardless of their condition. At the TBML, everyone has an opportunity to play.

If you have an athlete interested in participating, please contact league director Kevin Haury at [email protected]

Testimonials from Proud TBML Parents

"First, a huge thank you to you for putting so much effort into this program! It is something our kids really needed and it is awesome to come see! I believe that it may be even a little more sad for us as the mommies and daddies to see that last game every season!"-Charita

"Thank you so much for this wonderful program! My daughter Janet (who has autism) truly enjoyed it and looked forward to going every week. She can not wait for the spring season to start."-Elise

"Thanks for all your hard work.  This is just a fabulous program for families and kids.  Thanks, again!"-Traci

"Thanks again for all your efforts to make Miracle League happen. It is so appreciated!"-Rhonda

"I also have been wanting to thank you (so much) for doing the work to add in these extra football and basketball leagues.  It is truly the highlight of Kerwin's week.  Every week we are waiting for Saturday.  And in between seasons we are waiting for the next one.  Kerwin probably says at least two or three times a day that "baseball starts in one month."  Thanks for all that you do."-Rebecca
